Well, they are a collection of ancient texts, translated into our language; frequently misread, misinterpreted & purposely misrepresented.
So it’s a continuing battle, characterised by a pervasive fog - or, seen “through a glass, darkly” as Saint Paul said.
Our actions are ever flawed & imperfect.
